Pinene

Aroma: Fresh pine, sharp, resinous — like a forest after rain

Boiling point: 155°C (311°F)

The most common terpene in the natural world. In cannabis, pinene counteracts some of the short-term memory impairment caused by THC. It opens airways (bronchodilator), which is why you breathe easier around pine trees. Strains high in pinene tend to produce a clear, focused high rather than a foggy one. Comes in two forms: alpha-pinene (pine-forward) and beta-pinene (more herbal).
