Found in hops — humulene gives beer its distinctive bitter, earthy character. In cannabis, it is notable for being an appetite suppressant, making it the anti-munchies terpene. Strains high in humulene are less likely to trigger hunger. It also has potent anti-inflammatory properties, working synergistically with caryophyllene (they frequently appear together).
